who said Rome stinks??? he had Jon Barry and CD on the past two days. who did that turd dan patrick have on??? who said Rome has bad interviews???? CD- i wish we would have picked some other night to honor my career other than such a big game against pho that meant hca. it was humbling, i was emotionally tired when i got home everything winning the game after they went at us w as much as they could. CD on Dream - Talking about centers we had Moses, Dream, and Yao weve been blessed w Centers like the Lakers. I would have worked for nothing to work w Dream. You could teach him anything in pratice if he believed in it and he could use it that night. Size, quickness, finess, he had the total package. Now we have Yao who I think in 3-4 year will be at the top of the leauge. CD on Yao - To do what he did come half way around the world w different cultures. I remember going to Bejing and asking his people if I could talk to him and he sees me and runs over and talks to me and said "Coach Dawson welcome to China" I was floored by the fact that he was speacking english and I was speakin texan and he was speaking the language better than i was. I feel blessed to have been able to draft him. CD on CB - Truthfully I didnt like CB when he played for other teams, becasue he was hard to guard. As much as I didnt like him I loved him when he was here. The 1st game we played in Denver and we made a 3pt shot form half court to win and everyone was in the locker room celebrating. I looked around the locker room and CB wasnt there and I paniced. I went out and saw him with 2 sections of people after the game talking to them and had them eating out of the palm of his hand. I remember negotiating w him because he didnt have an agent, and it was really easy for me. Then the next day he took most the money and gave it away to charity and his college, and you never see it in the paper about that. CD on Rudy T. - Thats my best friend. When Don Chaney got fired I had got hit by lightning and I told them I couldnt do it, I told Rudy your gonna have to do it. Rudy said I cant do it, I hate coaches. Then I took Rudy outside and talked to him and told him he had to do it. He took to it like a duck to water. To this day he has not let 1 thing go to his head and I appreciate that. CD on gettin hit by lightning - I was playing golf w Rudy and some clouds came over and we were almost done on 16 and i hit the ball and I made a great swing and I was posing how you do after a great swing and a lightning came down and hit my club and went through me and i lost sight in both eyes and slowly my right eye came back. People ask me why I never complain about losing my eye, and I tell them hey I used to be blind! Im glad to have one eye.

I am so glad yall post that these interviews are going to happen... I never really listen to Rome. Good little interview with CD.
It was a pretty good interview. I wish they had talked more about the upcoming matchup, but I didn't know the lightning story. I know we didn't win a championship with CD as GM, but I always thought he was a good GM. He wasn't afraid to make his team better. There were some bad decisions, but in the last few years he's made some oustanding deals. Because of those deals we should remain a contender for the next 3-4 years. I just hope we can squeeze out a championship from this super competitive league.
Great interview. Rome's best in quite some time. CD will be missed. I had a chance to tell him so myself during the Suns-Rockets game Monday night. He stopped, turned around and walked towards me to give me a hand shake and thank me for my support. Next to Rudy T, he's just about the classiest individual I have ever met in any walk of life. They're two people I would want my kids to emulate. As for those who missed it, may be Chance can arrange to have it posted on their site, although I am not sure if that's even possible.
