I have come to the horrible conclusion that the Rox won't make the playoffs, so my friends and I decided to argue about the Rookie of the year.

My friend and I have been argueing over who the Rookie of the Year will be. He says Caron Butler will be the ROY, because of his stats. He says Butler leads the leauge in scoring as a rookie, and is in the top 10 in steals. ~WoW~

The Heat are in the lottery again and Caron Butler isn't getting any attention. The only reason I feel Amare is getting any attention is because of his monsterous dunks. Sounds like Vince Carter all over again, but don't get me wrong I love Amare:p, but Caron dark horse for the ROY behind Yao and Amare. Then he says the ROY is done by stats.....that is the biggest load of **** he has told me. Since he said my wife was cheating on me with him. The ROY is done by impact on our team and impact on the league. Hey while we are at it how many commercials has Caron Butler had??The he goes and pulls out his stats crap agian. Its straight poltics

Rockets fans of the world does Caron Butler even deserve consideration for ROY.

Carron is very well balanced. He has the complete package.

But, you're right. Yao has politics behind him. Yao has potential behind him.

But how much more potential dose Carron have over Yao?

Centers reach their prime at 8-12 in the league.
Forwards and Guards do it at 5-7. Then BB-IQ takes over.

Unless Carron becomes the next Dr.J, which is unlikely, I think we've seen the best he can do relatively; as in better than Paul Pierce, but not as good as Kobe.

We're only seeing the tip of the iceberg for Yao.

I'm really tired of all this ROY talk. Yao should and will win, but it doesn't matter, the Rox aren't in the playoffs. Also, who ever this year's ROY is, it shouldn't matter. This year's draft class is full of players with potential but not a single stellar peformance from any rookie, there i said it. Paul Gasol put up ROY numbers. Francis and Brand did too. But if Mike Miller would've been drafted 7 years ago, his rookie season would've been far from a ROY number.

This year's rookie of the year candidtates put up 13 and 8 and you're telling that's ROY numbers? Give me a break. Joe Smith put up 15 and 9 and was immediately labled a butst. Caron Butler put up 15 ppg, big whoopdy dooo, if NBA has a farm league all three of the "ROY" candidates would be playing there instead of in the league.

There are so many positives next season

Yao is pretty good, so people won't get on the Rox for not trading for Odom.

Steve is passing a lot more, don't know if that's neccessary a positive though.

Rudy will be back next year should he be able to since he showed he can get us into the playoffs, as long as Mr. Mean doesn't push us out.

New uniforms and New Arena, thank god.

Rice's contract is coming to an end.

    Cato is getting better.

    Thomas is gone.

Yep, and that's why I think the voters hesitate when voting.

They know that Amare is a spectacular dunker (now). But Yao will be a spectacular player (later).
