What are the Rocket fans impressions of Los, please? http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/rogers_signs_010906.html?nav=ArticleList
First of all congratulations to 'Los! Carlos Rogers is an energy player, solid rebounder off the bench, good offense off the bench, athletic, capable of filling in for injured starters in limited time, good size and solid defense. I wish the Rockets would have been able to keep him, but I'll take Griffin over Carlos, and that isn't a slap in the face of Carlos at all. I think it's a great pick-up for Indiana, he can definitely run if the Pacers run, basically he is a solid pick-up for a playoff team, helps bolster the bench.
It would of been great to see Los stay but he will have more opportunities in Indiana. Best of luck to Mr.Rogers.
I really think you'll like Carlos a lot. You can't play him too much, because he is injury prone, but he plays with a lot of heart and passion on the court. He's not afraid to throw his body around, dive on the floor, and do a lot of the dirty work. He can play both the 4 and 5, and probably even a little 3. He would've been a great fit here, but you really can't count on him for more than 15-20 minutes a night or he'll probably suffer an injury.
He also seemed to be in RT's doghouse most of last season. Given the solid play we fans saw on the floor when he got out there, we were left wondering why he didn't get more playing time than he did. Speculating on what we (think we) know of Rudy, I'd guess he didn't put the work in at practice and/or didn't show a good attitude in the lockerroom.
Carlos is a good guy and has shown some flashes on the court. He can come in off the bench and hit some buckets or play a little D. Not starter material though. I'm glad he found a team to sign on with.
i dont see many pt in indiana for 'los - he is behind harrington, croshere, o'neal, bender like he was behind mo, walt etc in houston.
