According to bskball.com, Los isn't guaranteed money but he is invited. Here's the link: http://www.bskball.com/Rumors.htm
I have a difficult time understanding why we jettisoned Los-- especially with Hakeem playing hardball and Cato playing grown-up. Why was Los so on the outs with RT?
Injury prone, and he had a hefty contract. I wish him all the best in Cleveland, but Houston just wasn't a good fit for him.
Add Rodrick Rhodes to the list. From http://ohio.com/sports/cavs/docs/020949.htm "Another former Rocket the Cavs hope to have in camp is guard Rodrick Rhodes"
With regard to Los, I seem to recall someone, maybe Clutch, saying that Los may have put it all on the floor during game time, but that he didn't have such a great work ethic during practice. We know Rudy T doesn't take to attitude problems. I think this was brought up in reference to Los' minutes, i.e. - Los' limited time on the court as punishment for not working hard during practice. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I wish Carlos well though. He'd have been a good guy to have for spot duty at the 5, but I imagine Griffin can do much the same as Carlos at the 5 and more, if perhaps not with the same energy.
I've heard as well that Carlos was a bit of a head case and never really fit in with the team or coaching staff.
yeah, i read that also. I posted the article from the ohio web site in the NBA Dish thread "Lucas after more former Rocks"
He's going to die in a matter of months anyway. May as well make sure that it doesn't have an adverse reaction upon your team.
Achebe: He's going to die...? What do you mean? Didn't Los give up a kidney for his sister ... or something like that?
From what I understood it was los's constant jibber jabber. I guess he is a talker and has worn thin on every team he has been on. Although I love how he plays.
I was initially scared for Carlos' safety when the rest of his family started keeling off. That is, until Bobby Phills(sp?) passed away in Charlotte and 'experts' started saying that the team might have to rebuild to get over it. That's when I developed the "not on our watch!" philosophy.
Beggar Rocket, Most of his family happens to have this nasty habit of dropping like flies... I'm not sure I would make fun of that, though.
