It's getting reworked. Still not sure why you're actively rooting against him. He's done nothing but give credit to Houston. He left because we weren't going to pay him and had Pena waiting in the wings. He even helped Pena who was his replacement. It makes absolutely no sense for anyone to be angry at him

So many people are hoping for him to fail, it's sad.

Him and Crane both made business desicions yet fans act like a player always owes the team something.

Bingo. I want him to succeed, well not against us but yea I want OUR homegrown guy who was nothing but class while here to make an everlasting mark on the game when he leaves.

I am an Astros only fan and so I want all players on any other team to fail (professionally, not personally).
Ex-Astros get special attention, admittedly. Along these lines, I want Cole and JV to fail just as much as Correa and for the exact same reason.
There are teams that I despise, like any from LA or NY. When an Ex-Astro lands in one of those places, I become extra vocal in expressing my wish for them to fail.
This seems kinda normal posturing to me.

Being excited that a player has a potentially career altering injury and would lose out on a lot of money seems pretty personal to me.

Why? Verlander and Correa were instrumental in delivering World Series wins to you, a self described Astro fan.

I want them to fail when their performance impacts the Astros, but other than that, I hope they experience health and success

When they were here and doing that, I was 100% supportive.

By fail, I don't mean to wish injury upon them. Absolutely not.

You still didn't answer why. Why do you want Verlander, Correa, Martinez, Straw, Greinke, Wynn, Watson, Keuchel, Gurriel, Morton, Kemp, Marisnick, Springer, Berkman, Oswalt, Blum and a myriad of others to fail when their performance doesn't impact the Astros? It's just an odd way of thinking to me.

Hopefully Altuve remains an Astro forever, lest you turn on him.

I guess I just view it in same manner that I want other teams to lose and my team to win.
I admit that I do get hung up on viewing ex-players as turncoats.
Perhaps I need to be a little less home biased.

It's weird that you expect players to by loyal to the Astros, but you turn on them the second they leave. Just sounds to me like you're extraordinarily selfish - it's not even that you don't care about people after they stop serving you, you actually want them to fail and apparently be miserable:

Just seems f*ed up on a basic human level to think for someone who brought you joy and positive memories.

Do you feel the same way about the players the Astros chose not to bring back or got rid of? JD Martinez, Kike Hernandez, Charlie Morton…

That's not what you wrote earlier:

I meant the quoted statement(s) above to only be taken half seriously.

I am too tired and exhausted to answer you completely and fully.
I was outside with plumbers trying fix broken pipes on Xmas morning in 21 degree weather.
    I still don't have water. :(
