If he comes back and has his typical 20/10, what would he be worth on a new contract?

    10-12 million

I am pro pursuing Boozer in the off season despite how much I hate him. If we could resign McGrady for 8 million or so, we could roll out with:

    Brooks
    McGrady
    Ariza
    Boozer
    Yao

I think that is a contending starting five.

Is he that much of an upgrade over Scola? I don't think so. Besides... Mcgrady, Yao and Boozer are all so 2006. It's time to look elsewhere for the next big thing. No more signing often-injured has-beens.

For the money he's gonna want, he's not worth it. He's gonna ask for way more than he deserves, plus, I don't think he's much of an upgrade over Scola.

Also, Scola would be a much better fit beside Yao than Boozer. Scola is a better passer, rebounder and cutter.

I'm sorry, but Morey is definitely not the type of GM to pay 9-10 million more for an extra 5-7 points and 1-2 rebounds in production with worse defense. Thank god.

If I were a team, Boozer definitely would not be high on my list to target. He isn't the most durable guy out there and his defense is borderline atrocious. I expect both of these to worsen in future years.

i remember when we played the jazz, Yao would score every single time when it was boozer guarding him.

Duh, but any PF with offensive ability would abuse Yao. The mismatch was created because Yao couldn't guard Okur.

I remember the abuse Boozer got here after game 1 in 2007. People insulted everything from his ability, his manhood to his intelligence.

Gimme Bosh. Boozer can't be trusted. But I'm hoping Landry and Scola will be good enough to make all this moot.

I wouldn't trust Boozer. Injury prone and soft.

Ill take Amare or Bosh over him anyday

Except Scola's salary is probably going to jump to about 8 million this summer, which would make it 2-3 million more. Also consider that Boozer is only 26.

Agreed, I'm already beyond satisfied with this Scola/Landry duo. Screw Boozer, he's a Jazz and we have other positions that need to be fulfilled. I mean for crying out loud, we still don't have a true dependable backup center. And once Tmac gets shipped off, were gonna need another go to guy/shooting guard.

5 to 7 point in basketnall is a very big deal. It's sometimes the diffrence between reaching a championship and making the lottery...How many NBA games are decided under that amount? I wodsy a hell of a lot.

Boozer is cool when he plays, but thats the key word when. No thanks. We've had 5 years of our star players ( Yao and T-Slack) getting injured all the time. We don't need another one.

Why do you think Scola's salary will jump to 8 million? I think it'll be around 5.5.

Someone told me Boozer was 26, this makes me slightly rethink my opinion.

    @Wekko
If Varejao can command 6.5 million, I am certain Scola will be quite a prize in the offseason where everyone will have money to spend. Not to mention Scola will have a breakout year with an increased offensive load.

Fake edit- I just remembered when I labeled Scola as one of the best post up players in the league you disagreed. I think you seriously underate Luis.
