Chat Recap: Quynten (Cathedral City): hey Carl, how is it like playing with players like Yao Ming and Ron Artest? SportsNation Carl Landry: It's amazing! I had the chance to watch them as a young player. It's cool playing with a great player in Yao and a great defensive player in Ron. Hook (Southern Maryland): Y'all made a great run in the playoffs without T-Mac and Yao. How Far could y'all have went if they were healthy? SportsNation Carl Landry: We have two superstars on the team in Tracy and Yao. Tracy was leading the league in scoring a couple of years ago and Yao is the best center in the league. If we had them both healthy, we would be in the NBA Finals. Russell Los Angeles, California : Who was your toughest player to defend in these playoffs? SportsNation Carl Landry: It would have to be LaMarcus Aldridge. He's talk, quick and a very skilled player. He's young but he's only going to get better. byron j. (houston tx): Hey Carl, if you were to pick a starting five team from the rockets all time roster, who would they be? SportsNation Carl Landry: That's tough! Yao Ming, Moses Malone, Clyde Drexler, Calvin Murphy and Hakeem Olajuwo. adam(Houston): I live in Houston and realize you're a key component to are success. What do you think we are missing to make us a legit threat to win the Championship? SportsNation Carl Landry: Just being healthy, we have to stay healthy. Ever since I've been here, somebody has been hurt. Justin (Melbourne, Australia): With the team showing how it can play with passion and energy. What are your expectations for the team next year and yourself? SportsNation Carl Landry: We'll have more experience and a healthy group of veterans. I see the Rockets winning a NBA Championship next season. Joey Joe Joe (houston): It appeared that last season you worked on your mid-range jumper. What aspect of your game are you gonna focus on this off-season? SportsNation Carl Landry: Creating for others, ball handling, and my defense. Kevin - Orlando: Does Orlando seal the deal tonight? SportsNation Carl Landry: (Laughing) It's going to be a good game. Cleveland's back is against the wall and they will bring their A game out tonight. Chris (NYC): If the Lakers and Magic make it to the finals, who do you think will win and what is the key to their success? SportsNation Carl Landry: I think the Western Conference is a little stronger than the East. I think bench play and defense is the key to winning and who ever bench shows up will win. Ellis ( Los Angeles): Who would win in a foot race: Lebron or Aaron Brooks? SportsNation Carl Landry: (Laughing) Without a doubt Aaron Brooks, he's that fastest player that Ive ever played with. Vince (Whitehall PA): We all watch Kobe and Lebron on our TV's and see the greatness. How much better do they seem when you're on the same court as them? SportsNation Carl Landry: When I'm on the court I don't see it because I'm caught up in the game. When I'm on the bench, I think to myself "wow". They make incredible shots and are amazing players. Jeff - Houston, TX: Whatup Carl! What's your favorite place to eat in Houston? SportsNation Carl Landry: Mikki's Soul Food Sean, Houston: Carl my man, do you have a nickname that the team calls you? SportsNation Carl Landry: In college they called me C Lan but I don't really have one now. You can make one up for me. paul (ohio): do you think the cavs will still win that series. I'm really impressed that so many experts still pick them to win it in 7... SportsNation Carl Landry: We'll see tonight. It's hard to win three games in a row especially in the playoffs. They dug themselves into a hole and now they have to dig themselves out. Schultz (Memphis): Carl, I'm amazed at how good you have become in the league this quickly. What advice would you give to a player who is undrafted trying to make the league? SportsNation Carl Landry: Just don't stop working. The sky is the limit, If you have a goal work at it, anything is possible if you work hard at it. SportsNation Carl Landry: Go Rockets!
Bullet Leg Landry .....sorry, I know it's a little bit inappropriate, but to me it sure makes our team sound a tad more hard core with someone called Bullet Leg.
Dream can play any positions. So Yao at C, Moses Malone at PF, Clyde Drexler at SG, Calvin Murphy PG, and Dream at SF. Haha. Trio towers.
Hahahahaha... That was some serious destruction of the English language. I saw somebody spell "doubt" d-o-u-g-h-t in another thread.
In fact, it might work. MM can be pf and dream be sf and clyde a pg. They are talented and smart, definitely can work it out.
