The more I watch this kid, the more blown away I am. I had frankly never heard of the guy before draft day and wasn't expecting anything--but watching the way the guy plays, wow...I haven't been this excited about a young rookie in Houston in a LONG time...

He already does so many things that you can't teach--he's got great form and already has good range on his jump shot, and he's the quickest player in the post that I've seen in Houston in a long time. He's aggressive, athletic, and he seems to have a great attitude and work ethic.

His knowledge of the game will only get better with experience--but he seems to have a great feel for the game already. Is it too early to say that this guy could become an all-star with a little experience? I'm trying not to be given to too much hyperbole, but wow--I don't see very many weaknesses with the guy's game (outside of his foul shooting, but I think that can/will get better).

Morey and our scouting personnel have absolutely got my trust after this one.

Landry is playing like MANBEAST out there. I hope he continues to contribute. I also hope the Morey can pick up a C real soon.

Solid thread! When I saw Carl Landry play the other night it was amazing. He is extremely athletic, an underrated dunker, and very active on both ends. I was quite amazed with his passing as well. I saw a couple plays where he throw the ball from the high post to Bobby Jackson. Carl Landry is a keeper!

Like I said in another thread. Landry came here with a 36 inch vertical. Increased it by 6" since he's been here. Now it's more like a 42 in. vertical. How many big men 6'9" have a 42 in. vertical? Wow just wow!

Who would yall compare Carl to? I have been trying to find a fitting comparison but just can't seem to find one that fits right.

Smaller version of Dwight Howard with a nice jump shot.

Yeah, I think that's a fair comparison. He's a lot like Dwight athletically and that's where the comparison ends. Landry is quicker, has a better jump shot and a few more offensive moves. He can dribble drive too. Considering his size, he's even more amazing.

Noticed the energy level of the team is way down without Landry in there. We just gave up a bunch of points. We had a 29 pt lead and now it's down to 22 pts. Don't let these guys back in the game!!

He's gonna end up like Chuck Hayes. Yeah, he was great last year. But he contributes nothing to this team now.

This kid rocks... great work ethics... increased his vertical by 4 inches since he's been in Houston... I'm so glad we signed him.
