I think game 2 of the series will have a fairly significant impact on the Cy Young voting.

We need to win at least 2 of 3 to keep up with the WC race, but not sure it that will happen...

The Astros will definitely win this evening. Bet the bank on it.

    Why?

Because your old buddy RocketMan Tex will be sitting about 10 rows behind the Cardinals dugout. The vile rude obscene comments that will be spewing from my mouth towards Mark Mulder as he walks to the dugout will cause him to come after me in the stands, prompting his ejection from the game, and ensuring an Astros victory.

I will be at Ninfas on Navigation before the game, loading up on margarita courage.

I even have a designated driver.

    SURE THING

Here's hoping for three games of playoff-intensity baseball that will invigorate our team (a series win would be HUGE their confidence) and spur them on down the stretch run. I believe the Astros are due for a breakthrough performance.

if we win this series.... it will be an act of God. :)

that being said... I put my money on us winning the series with Astacio rather than Wandy.

LWL Top to bottom the Cards are just better and its nothing wrong with that because top to bottom they are pretty much better than anyone in baseball.

Why is Clemens pitching on Saturday instead of tonight? Shouldn't tonight be his turn in the rotation? He last pitched Sunday. I thought Garner was trying to maximize the # of starts for the big three.

Good 2nd inning by the STros.

    2-1 Good Guys.

Damn, Astacio is pwning Grudzielanek. 3 pitch strike out. He has struck him out twice so far tonight. :)
