Recently, my SUV has become extremely sluggish. It was sluggish already before, but now it is just plain ridiculous. When driving, it feels as if I am pulling a trailer. Getting past 60 mph is almost impossible. Any ideas on what my problem could be?

could be alot of things, try doing a oil change, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributer cap/rotor, basically just do the regular maintenance if it hasn't been done. if that doesnt work...take it to a mechanic.

You change your oil on a regular bases?

Sounds like you might have sludge in your engine from not changing oil enough, and doing this with crummy oil.

Check to see if your floor mat is pushed up underneath your accelerator.

My friend complained of sluggishness also, and when I drove his car one day I pulled the floor mat back. He asked me later what I did to his car, it was like twice as fast now!

Make sure you're not a dumbass like my friend.
