I'm not up to date on the laws concerning tint %, but I when I got my tint it cost me exactly $100 with lifetime replacement at Hurricane Glass. It's on Gulf Freeway near Edgebrook but I'm not sure if there are other locations.

I can vouch for Executive Motor Sports, I just had (2) vehicles done last week. Great work, professional staff, quality work. Two vehicles cost me about $550. I got the best with limo tint in the back and 35% in the front, which is the legal limit.
It sure is a must here in Houston. My current ride is too far gone, but when I do another Lexus up in a couple of years, the first thing I am going to get done to it is the darkest legal tint available. It's the only way to save the interior of your car during Houston summers.
Another who can vouch for this place. They do the best tint jobs, though they come at a premium, but thats to be expected for the best. Oh, and fyi, you can ask them to do any % tint on your car, front and back..ANY. They did 20% all around on my car and it looks amazing. Legal % is 35% for the front windows, and you can get as dark as limo on the back windows and back windshield.
I second this place. Great service. First tint bob I got there I paid 175 for and I think 20 dollars for the warranty this was in 2003. Second time I came they offered a higher up tint that had a free extended warranty for 219. I said no and they offered it to me for 199 so I went for it. This was 2004. They do a really good job. If you have their warranty if you ever want to change the tint level just tell them and it is covered for free. At least that is what they told me. One time I scratched my tine because I was messing with a speaker. I just drove up, told them and 30 minutes later they had redone the rear windshield. I warn you though the place has some tint for 6-7 hundred (not a typo) dollars per car. Stick with the 200 dollar tint and you will be fine. Oh and tell them you want it as dark as they can legally do it on the front and one step above limo everywhere else.
my rear windows are illegal. front is a bit lighter but i still think they are too dark for the laws. My philosophy is i want the rear rear limo/dark as you can get and a little lighter on the front. I've never had a problem with cops...i think they just use that excuse to pull people over in hopes of finding something else. Mine was lifetime warrenty for $135. Its just past 59 and west loop (a few miles)

When you decide which tinter to go with, look at the 3M Metallic Tint. Cost me $150 and has a lifetime warranty. The tinter will try and sell the really high dollar stuff and show you with window samples but I've been extremely pleased with the 3M Metallic. It has really helped with cooling the car at a very decent price.
Usually only takes a tinter about 1 1/2 hours to get it done if your car gets worked right away, I was able to wait in the shop and actually watch their progress.
If you're on the north side, I'm dropping my Xterra off at Tomball Tinters. They've been there for over 20 years and do a great job for a good price. Getting the LLumar metallic tint on the fronts as dark as they can go for 60 bucks installed.
Another vote for Executive Motorsports on Gessner. I got totally illegal limo tint on everything except for my windshield. I haven't had any trouble with the po-po.
my 05 325 is 5 percent all around and i have never been pulled..plus its blk to so go for the darkest you can get
