Anyone in Houston know a reputable place that installs car stereos? I'm willing to pay a fair price but want a shop that does professional work and won't come by your house later and steel what they just installed.

Information: I'm mostly looking to replace the factory head unit and maybe some new speakers (nothing fancy). The main reason I want to replace the HU is to get an aux input jack to play my MP3 player through.

I've thought about installing it myself, however, I want a store that will help me with purchasing the best unit for my needs (and budget). Plus I want to see/hear the unit and feel I should spend money in a store that offers the most help.

Good advice, it's really not too bad to do yourself. Try http://www.installdr.com/

I myself will be doing the same soon, since I just got MY FSCKING CD-Player stolen out of my car. (Thank god they left my amp and subs... ).

Sucks to live on Riverside in Austin... :(

I have a friend who's about to do mine up right after the first of the year. His shop is at 59 and Bellaire. PM me and I'll email you the details.
