Okay... I need the expert advice of my fellow clutchfans

Yesterday I was involved in an accident.

The roads were snow covered and some guy in a truck lost control of it and slid all over the street coming toward me in the opposite direction.

I was able to swerve enough out of the way that we didn't hit head on, but he still took out the drivers side of my car, bashed in my window and basically rendered my car undrivable.

I have liability insurance, but not collision insurance.. which I didn't realize when I switched from Allstate to Geico.

My question is.. since he was at fault and lost control of his car, will his insurance company pay to repair my car or am I screwed?

Assuming you got an accident report and the other person has insurance, yes.

His insurance will cover your repairs if he is determined to be at fault (which is the case).

    Sounds scary...glad you are okay

What if the guy also likes the scoring machine and defensive juggernaut that is The Chuck Wagon? Would you forgive him then and let this go?

    ;)

Yep, his insurance should take care of it.

lol no because I can't afford a new car and if he doesn't pay to fix mine I am in deep doo-doo... but I will applaud his good taste.

Thanks for the concern. It was scary but thankfully all I got was covered in glass and a bump on the head. We were both lucky that I was able to avoid his truck as much as I did.
