Alright. There are a few that caught my attention so far, but here is one that -- sadly -- might never make it to production; it's called "Ford Interceptor": Come on Ford, BUILD IT!
I remember when they announced the Bugatti Veyron. Totally street legal. 250 or so MPH and 1000 horsepower.
Well, the bulky boxy look is just one look that can be pretty attractive, it depends on the way it's done. But, here's one concept that isn't 'bulky' nor 'boxy' (click on the picture for the slideshow)
A "dream ride" if I've ever seen one... From what I understand, GM initially intended to make a production model from it, but decided to shelve the project for now.
I park a Yukon XL (almost 19 ft) everyday with NO problem. Surely this can't be longer than that. OMG MINI MALL GUY ON VH1 right now.
WMJ, The Veyron is old news. It's a beautiful car, though. I loved that car when they first announced it years ago. The 0-60 time is like 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 240-250 mph. It's all brute force unlike something like the Enzo for example. Most of these concept cars don't make it into production simply because they're too damn expensive to make. If you wanted it to look and perform the way they do, you'll be paying $250,000 for your Taurus.
I almost forgot : There's a snippet in my latest Road & Track about Al DiMora trying to build something that one-ups the Veyron. Get this : it's going to be a 1200 bhp, 300 mph sedan. It's supposed to be a $2 million car. You can read about it here : http://www.dimoramotorcar.com/index2.html (just select "Natalia" from the menu).
