places you guys recommend from past experiences in houston?

i've been trying to "research" online but since i don't know much i only go by what i've been reading from reviews. don't have many friends into this kind of stuff. also i drive a 2011 camry.

i was thinking about polk db6501 for front speakers. kicker 12 inch CVR in a sealed box for the trunk.

don't know what to do about the rear speakers but was thinking about some polk db651s since they are like 50 bucks cheaper and i never sit in the back.

was planning on powering it all through alpine pdx-5 channel amp. seems like a good amp for my plans since it has a 300 watt monoblock for the sub included with 4x75 rms for the speakers.

i have a headunit already but need it installed, alpine CDE-124sxm.

so this is the setup i seem to be set on. based on amazon/crutchfield reviews.

is there anyone you guys know that can get me a deal on all this stuff since i'm not one to be patient and buy individually at lowest price i can find?

if not, recommendations on shops that do quality installs would be helpful. probably would want some kind of dynamat or something installed as well to eliminate the potential rattling that can occur.

suggestions and advice much appreciated. also i do not want make this a DIY and destroy my car. putting an auxiliary cable in the back of my old head unit in my last car was all i needed to see to not do a complete install.

Both sets of speakers you have there are 6.5". I have a '98 Camry and had 6.25" inch speakers in the doors. I had to buy some extra stuff to get them to fit. Also in the back I have 6 x 9's. I would imagine you do too. Also installing the head unit is really easy. A few snaps, some screws, a wire harness, you're set.

Personally i wouldn't bother running power from an external amp to the speakers. You're head unit will be plenty loud. Besides 4 x 75 = 300 is a little overkill, don't you think? Just get a decent mono amp and most importantly a quality sub and you're set. Its a lot less wires too.

Many moons ago I was obsessed with all of this stuff. This was before you could buy stuff online and that has changed the game of pricing. He wasn't the nicest guy to a teenager who was trying to save every penny but there is a place called Houston Car Stereo or maybe Houston Car Audio on Hilcroft. He only sells authorized premium brands like you are looking for. At the time I bought Polk components (DB's) for the front, Polk 6.5's for the back and 2 12inch Polk DB subs. His prices were pretty good. I would check them out.

Do the Dynamat yourself. It is so easy. The ish just sticks on. There isn't a science to it. Weight stops vibrations so stick it on where you hear things vibrating.
