Has anyone been in a car accident with someone who had Progressive insurance? And it was the other persons fault? How was your experience? Did progressive take care of you? What is state law based upon the pain and suffering compensation? I was in a accident with someone who had Progressive insurance. It was there fault. How much do you think I could get for pain and suffering ?
Had a wreck this morning. Went into the back of another car at a stop light. The guy got out & he was a dwarf. He said, "I'm not happy!" I said, "Well, which one are you then?"
I thought it was a funny comment, guess you needed to know about Snow White & The 7 Dwarfs to get a laugh (Happy was one of them ). I have not had an accident where I needed to deal with Progressive, sorry to hear about your accident. GLTY...
Progressive is just like any other insurance company. They will nickel and dime you to death. As for how much you can get for pain and suffering, mental anguish etc.. that depends. Did you contribute in anyway to this accident? Have you gone to the doctor? ER? Planning to go? What parts of your body hurt, if any? Pre existing conditions in that areas that hurt? Have you ever filed an injury claim with another carrier? the list goes on and on. If your wreck happened in Harris County, that's another strike against you. Harris County juries are conservative when it comes to damage awards for car accidents. Oh yea, the recent tort reform doesn't help either.
All I can say is it was awesome service. guy hit me in a parking lot. He called progressive. I talked to them. Got a claim number right over the phone. Next day dropped the car off with them. They had a rental up front waiting for me. Car was ready when they said it would be. They washed and vacuumed the inside. They even did the tires. I was very happy. Part of me wished I had them instead of all state.
I just re-read you post. You won't get anything unless you get a lawyer. My case has been going on from a different accident where I was actually really hurt in. It has been a year and the paper work is still getting taken care of. If you are seriously hurt get a lawyer. If you just want the cash i don't know what to tell you.
Yeah for me step one was going to Methodist's ER and getting x-rays. Next day I set up an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. He prescribed 5 weeks of physical therapy and some medications. I did the PT but 5 weeks was not enough. i got a script for another 5 weeks. After about the 4th week I felt I was in pretty good shape. My stuff was bad though. I took a day off from work and went back to my desk job after that. I almost started crying because the pain in my back, shoulder and neck was so much. If you are at all hurt, do the PT. Otherwise you will regret it. I have a buddy who got in a wreck and did not do the PT. he can't do anything really too strenuous and is often in pain.
i had before, it was about 8 years ago. i had heard negative things but it was no dif then any other insurance company i had dealt with before.
Are you in any pain? Are you suffering? Have you you been to the doctor or seen an attorney? I'm not sure if ClutchFans is ridled with ambulance chasers. Call the Texas Hammer.
