"OK fans, get on your feet!!! It's time to play "bag the trophy husband" one lucky fan will get the chance to chase down the basketball star of their choice, and if she catches him, they will be married at centercourt immediately following the game.. watch for today's episode to air next thursday on Fox!"
Ditto, I'm much more interested in what was going on when this pic was taken than what captions people might create for it.
Apparently, she jumped onto the court near the end of the Wolves-Bullets game(it was a blowout at that time) and chased after Wally, who promptly started to run away. Then security guards came and arrested her. She must've had a really big crush on Wally or something...
It is exactly what it looks like which makes it even more funny. http://www.sportsline.com/nba/gamecenter/recap/NBA_20040402_WAS@MIN An otherwise uneventful night was livened up in the final minute, when a young woman emerged from the corner of the court, tried to block Gary Trent's shot, ran around for a little bit and then raced toward Szczerbiak. She lunged at him, as Szczerbiak avoided contact and scurried away before security guards finally nabbed the intruder. "I wasn't taking a charge on that play," Szczerbiak said, smiling rather sheepishly. Sam Cassell, who had 13 points and seven assists, got a huge kick out of it -- scampering over to Szczerbiak and planting a mock hug on his grinning teammate as the crowd chanted "Wally! Wally!" "World should've given her a hug," Cassell joked. "Lady got arrested for nothing."
As much as I hate Wally, I can't say I blame him for running...if it's a girl that comes to the decision to run on to the court during a game, you are probably just as likely to get a shiv in the groin as you are a hug if you were to let her get close. I notice she didn't chase after Sam.
Dude, women love that guy. Linda Cohen(sp) on SportsCenter has talked about how he looks at times, and the chick doing SportsCenter Updates Saturday morning on the radio said she couldn't blame the woman when she reported this story.
