Occurred today at Dolphins Stadium in Miami. It will air on Saturday, February 4 at 3PM CST on ESPN. I was there and had a great time, meeting most everyone there: DeAngelo Williams, David Pino, Brodie Croyle, Charlie Whitehurst, Drew Olson, Vernon Davis, Chad Jackson, Sinorice Moss, Connor Hughes, Vince Young, and even Jason Rosenhaus (Drew's brother, both of whom I had met before). There was also Erin Andrews; I was more than an ******* to her when she refused to get in a picture with me, basically making sure that she knew she was no Jill Arrington. There were at most 500 people there, most of whom were elementary school kids on a field trip, so it was nice and relaxed. All the guys were real nice; I brought a football to get signed and was successful in getting everyone EXCEPT Hughes (but I got one of his wristbands) and Young. I did get the sharpie from Vince's hand when he had to go get ready to compete in another event. In awe of a Vince Young pass I ended up being right behind the camera for this interview Jason Rosenhaus
More pics: 3 QBs and 1 WR Pino's a real nice guy Nice smile VD The guy is HUGE Sinorice looks like he'll be a first round pick Overall it was a great day: I got to skip class and practically hang out with future stars. I was right behind the camera when they gave away the flat screen TV to Brodie (wearin' the Houndstooth hat and Alabama Football crimson shirt), so I'll probably be on ESPN, haha.
Very cool, thanks for th pics. Let me be the first to ask the most obvious question: Who is that chick interviewing Brody???? WHAT AN ASS!
Oh I made sure Andrews knew that. I believe Andrews was an FSU grad. On another note, we got Suzy Kolber coming to campus in March. I'm exctied (to meet her).

Cool, thanks for sharing. How come you couldn't get Hughes and Young's autograph? Didn't get the chance to ask?
Well only like a couple of the guys were signing stuff throughout the event since they had to go back and forth between competition. I don't recall Hughes ever signing stuff, but he did throw his wrist and armbands into the crowd. Vince signed stuff a couple of times throughout the event, but was clearly the guy everyone wanted (but since there was virtually no one there, it was no problem getting near him). He stopped signing at one point when he was right in front of me, at which point he handed me someone else's sharpie. Vince and Hughes were the only two not to come back to sign stuff after the event was finished taping (at this point there were maybe a dozen people left, as the bulk of the crowd (school children) left the stadium). Not a big deal, but it would've been nice to talk to him for a while (like I had been joking around with Sinorice and DeAngelo). Oh, and Kam...sad to say that Erin wasn't at her best. I'll put it bluntly: she looked like a smarmy b****.
Erin Andrews is a UF grad, not FSU! Though I guess she did act more like an FSU-grad towards you by refusing your picture request, so your mistake is forgivable. Disappointing that she acted like such a b****. I've seen her in person here for basketball games and she has looked good on those occassions. I always got a vibe that she may have been kind of stuck-up though, maybe she is. Sorry if I missed it, but what were you there for? Was the event basically just a skills challenge? Those are some pretty sick pictures. I knew Chad Jackson was RIPPED for a WR from seeing him at spring practices, but Sinorice's arms look huge in that pic for a wide-out.
All of them look like genetic freaks. Moss, any relation to Santana? Would guess they're about the same size.
Yeah and I'm trying to see if I can make it to his draft party at his parents' house (he said he won't be in NY). A friend of mine says he's going to go since he's tight with him. As for those wondering, basically this is a yearly event (it was held in Houston within the past few years), but is pretty much unpublicized. I only read about it through my college newspaper (which no one reads) and on the UCLA Bruins' team site. Even if it were better-known, it's so hard for people to make it to the event; 1:30 on a Monday is the most inconvenient time for folks, but I didn't care. They're doing it again the next couple of years in Miami according to the organizers I talked with, however I doubt it will be in Dolphins Stadium next year as the Super Bowl will be there.
This isn't the thing they air on TV every year with the QB and WR? They do dumb/fun little challenges that I like to watch, kind of like a football olympics. See who can throw the furthest, throw at moving targets going across the field and other little things.
It is; they added the kicker field this year. Oh and I almost forgot about Josh Huston; he signed zero autographs. Not that I would have wanted a Buckeye anyway. And Stephen Gostkowski was there too. He signed a couple, but no one had any idea who the hell he was, even with the jersey.
