I've seen a couple of reports that say we will be reducing cap space next season with this deal but that is inaccurate according to DraftExpress: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-player-salaries/year/2009/ Alston: $5,250,000 Lowry: $2,034,996 Cook: $3,500,000 (player option) If Cook picks up his option, we would actually be adding salary and this move wouldn't seem to be for cap space. And that isn't even factoring in other potential incoming players like Foyle and Wilks. Am I missing something?
I think this is the start of one of his ingenious plans to get Kobe, LeBron, Melo, and maybe if we're lucky, Hakeem Olajuwan on the Rockets.
we dont have room on the roster to take on 4 players. yao scola ron shane brooks --------- hayes landry barry wafer lowry ------- deke head dorsey thats 13. 2 spots left for cook, foyle, wilks. someone isn't being moved here.
Artest already offered McGrady a couple of his extras but McGrady's body rejected them. It couldn't handle a real set.
You left out mcgrady which would be 14 players. we add cook then 15. foyle will be cut and wilks cut. Wilks is injured for rest of year anyhow.
