The clippers want to resign Odom(so I heard). What better way to keep Odom,than to trade for his bud Mobley. 1.How bout mobley straight up for a resigned Miller? Would this work? I would even include Griffin and I'll tell you way because of #2: 2.Signing Brand to the MLE. I know it sounds nuts,but Brand has got to be thinking long term. He sees a 22 yr Ming,26 yr Francis,26 yr Miller,and he would be the FINAL rebuilding piece to win the championship.(my goal is rings,not just 1st round and out) Falk,Brands agent,can trust Cd because we paid off on Taylor. Brand can take th MLE now,and then next year(summer 04') sign a max contract because Rice would be gone.' THIS is the REASON why I dont want the rockets to get desperate and trade rice now for a old vet like Glenn Robinson. This leaves us with a lineup of Miller,Francis,Boki/Morris,Brand,Ming. yippee!!!!! All this talk about multi trades,and east team this and that is kinda stupid. The way I look at it is this: miller=cassell/smith francis=drexler posey=elie brand=thorpe ming=hakeem and for all you posters who think ming is not even close to hakeem,then that just proves we NEED more firepower(3rd allstar) to compensate to ever have a chance for a ring.
Another question,I thought only odom was restricted,and that brand isnt. Can you tell me where you got your info,so I can double check?
Your right. So much for my idea. I should have checked with realgm first. I could have sworn I heard somewhere(radio?) that all but Odom can walk. Oh well. Look this thread because this idea aint happening.
