With the first pick we take Ming. (That is the easy part) What are the chances of us trading one of our three power forwards and are 15th pick to move up and grab the best small forward available. Dunleavy will probably have been taken but maybe Woods or Butler can drop to around 10. What do you guys think?

I don't see Butler dropping. Teams are very high on him right now. Woods may but I'd rather grab a Euro. Tsika will require moving up from #15 and it can be done. The other option is Nachbar, an unselfish team-oriented 6-9 wing player with a deadly shot.

if we can get nachbar at 15 and draft ming i'd be pretty darn happy.

if ming= rik smits or better
    and nachbar= 85-90% of stojacovic, i think we're set.

BigM, I second you in your draft wishlist. However, if Nachbar is as good as you and I both hope he is, he probably won't be available at the #15, IMO.

Who will Nachbar leapfrog Tsika, Nene, Jerries, Stoudamire, Rusch or Marcus? I don't know but he would have to be picked before two of these guys for him to not be there at 15. If Tsika's there, take him instead! Marcus, Rusch and Jeffries could all drop behind Bostjan. If that's the case, I'm sure a deal can be made to move up a couple of slots.

Oh and then there's Chris Jeffries. Not much of an offensive game but absolutely nast on D. With the current players and Yao, we don't need scoring a ton of scoring from the 3 spot. Defense baby!

relativist- you're right, european prospects are at an all-time high so the rocks probably need to be lucky again. but, hopefully he won't pull a radmanovic and go a a few spots higher predicted. it seems right now that he fits in at 15 and even lower in most mock drafts. of course by the time the real thing comes he could be going top 10.
