There has been a case of Mad Cow Disease found in Alberta, Canada. Officials are trying to trace the origins of the diseased cow in question, and all the herd in which the cow was located at the time of discovery have or are going to be slaughtered. Two other ranches which may have had something to do with this cow in the past are in quarantine. Several nations, including the U.S. have temporarily suspended cattle importation of Canadian beef, pending results of the investigation into the possibility of further cases, and it's origin.
wow...first SARS now the cows....that sucks We (US) are already busy searching for others.... Bin Laden Saddam now .... Mad Cow
I saw this story, too. They reported that the incubation period for the disease is thought to be anywhere from 2 to 8 years. This is bad news. Beef, it really is just not for dinner anymore.
Yeah...just wait till Snoop Doggy Dogg gets called in to do a wild video with them!!! then the hijinx really kick in!!! oh...that's cows gone wild?? not mad??? oh..sorry. carry on. (there's an udder joke in there somewhere too)
I had a cow flag me down the other day on a farm road. The cow asked me, "Which way to the slaughter house?". I was thinking, "This cow has gone mad!". So, then I asked "Are you from Canada by chance?" at which point the cow responded, "What ever gave you that idea...eh?" .
Here's a question.... If you could buy T-bone steak for .25/lb that had a disclaimer saying "less than 10% mad cow!" would you buy it? I know I would. It could be called "slightly irritated cow"
