My mom would sit down and try this puzzle every chance she got when I was 3 or 4. She never figured it out. Now she is almost 60 and probably hasn't thought about it in 20 years. It'd be a nice surprise to show her one day that I finally found the answer to it. She claims when she was 9 or 10, her dad came home from work one day and showed her the puzzle done completly. Here it is. Just a simple box with 5 squares in it. You have to start outside the box and draw a CONTINUOUS line, going through every line segment just once. Is this puzzle even answerable? Heres a picture. the CIRCLES are the segments I couldn't draw a line through.
seems like a spiral would work, does the line have to end outside, can a "segment" be crossed mor ethan once?
First clarify the rules...what is considered a line? The whole line or each segment? Consider the bottom line for example...is it 1 or 3? Because it seems you didn't go through 2 of them, yet you only pointed out not going through one.
you claim you only missed 2... but to me, it looks like you missed 4... are you making **** up or is this a real puzzle?
The power of the internet... -1 woman's dream to find a solution crushed... -1 father's "completed puzzle" proven false... -and 1 son's wish to show off his smarts to mamma destroyed... ...all in 30 minutes of posting this ridiculous puzzle on a Rockets' fan site. Saaaweeeeeeeeeeeet!
