I doubt that. I have to go to pickup someone at the airport for a 140 miles round trip, but $3.00 a gallon still makes me mad.
Wife asked me why the credit card is so high... hmmm have to buy gas every 6 days, $45 a fill up. you do the math...
Dont really like "The Factor", but was channel surfing the other day and saw O'Reilly was urging viewers to "Not buy gas on Sundays as a form of protest against price gouging" Ive been doing this ever since and hope that it would take on a wider appeal. IMO The only thing that is going to stop this nonsense is some sort of group protest. Its ridiculous. I feel even worse for people that drive deliveries for a living. They are the ones really struggling. The local courrier at my work told me that he spends $50 a day!!!
that's my story. but my wife fills up her car at about the same rate. so it's still noticeably higher.
Protest what? The higher cost of crude? If you spend 50 bucks a day you a) drive too much and b) need a different vehicle. More food for thought: The government subsidizes gas. How much do you really pay a gallon?
Gummi Clutch: I feel even worse for people that drive deliveries for a living. I stopped by the grocery store to buy a liter of caffeine-free Coke and the usual $1.09 was up to $1.59--- it has to be the cost of gasoline.
YOU OBVIOUSLY CANT READ. I WAS TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE THAT DRIVE FOR A LIVING. Main Entry: cou·ri·er Pronunciation: 'kur-E-&r, 'k&r-E-, 'k&-rE- Function: noun Etymology: Middle French courrier, from Old Italian corriere, from correre to run, from Latin currere 1 : MESSENGER: as a : a member of a diplomatic service entrusted with bearing messages b (1) : an espionage agent transferring secret information (2) : a runner of contraband c : a member of the armed services whose duties include carrying mail, information, or supplies
My apologies. Please take a deep breath and relax now. Sorry that my misreading of your post ruined your day. Good grief...
I normally drive from houston to dallas when I work there. This past weekend I flew and saved at least 40 dollars
Rhadamantooth - Tell me more about how the government subsidizes gas. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this issue. Thx
