I doubt that. I have to go to pickup someone at the airport for a 140 miles round trip, but $3.00 a gallon still makes me mad.

Dont really like "The Factor", but was channel surfing the other day and saw O'Reilly was urging viewers to "Not buy gas on Sundays as a form of protest against price gouging"

Ive been doing this ever since and hope that it would take on a wider appeal.
IMO The only thing that is going to stop this nonsense is some sort of group protest. Its ridiculous.

I feel even worse for people that drive deliveries for a living.
They are the ones really struggling.
The local courrier at my work told me that he spends $50 a day!!!

Protest what? The higher cost of crude?

If you spend 50 bucks a day you a) drive too much and b) need a different vehicle.

More food for thought: The government subsidizes gas. How much do you really pay a gallon?

Gummi Clutch: I feel even worse for people that drive deliveries for a living.

I stopped by the grocery store to buy a liter of caffeine-free Coke and the usual $1.09 was up to $1.59--- it has to be the cost of gasoline.

Yes. I don't mind paying more for gas. A gallon of gas is still cheaper than a gallon of milk.

How long does a gallon of milk last you?

and

Could you do without it if necessary?

Rhadamantooth - Tell me more about how the government subsidizes gas. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this issue. Thx
