Today T-MAC got 62 points by shooting 20-37(FG) and 17-26(FT), I believe Yao has the potential to score more than 62 as he has a better FG% & FT% than T-Mac. What do you think?

I hope yao can be on this list soon.

9 of the last 25 threads are dedicated soley to Yao, with no doubt all 25 pertaining directly to Yao. :)

I doubt it. His fatigue doesnt allow him to play enough minutes in order for this to occur. McGrady played 46 minutes tonight. I seriously doubt Yao can play 46 minutes and still be effective late into the game. If he ever improves his stamina than I'd say he would than have a shot.

OK. I change the question. Which Rockets player has the greatest chance to score 62 points? :D

    Yao can score a 62. Maybe a 65. Perhaps even a 68. But he's just too tall to ever score a 69.

Steve, if Yao's going off, teams will seal the inside and force perimeter shooting to beat them. If a player from the outside gets hot, teams still aren't gonna double/ triple him when he's in the perimeter. They might collapse a little quicker if he drives, but when a player gets off, there's really nothing you can do except to deny him getting the ball first. It's much easier to do that for an inside player than outside player.

And yes, I'm posting this just to be contrary :D

Steve definitely has the chance if he moves to SG position just like T-Mac and Kobe. But he has to put up a lot of shots in order to get 62 points since he is a 40% shooter this year.

I remember Yao has got 17 points in 1 quarter (vs Knicks?). He has the potential to score 68 points if he can improve his stamina.
