Can we put Cato on the IR for the rest of his contract?

Can we put Cato on the IR for the rest of his contract? Can we shatter his ego, so bad, that he is begging to get out of his contract? Can we buy him out for a reduced fee, like Mitch Richmond? How about trade him for a future draft picks to some idiot team (that thinks they can motivate him)?

I know this topic has been overly-debated on clutch city, but what can be done? Can the Rockets force him into an intense off-season workout routine with a proven Hall of Famer, etc...? With are new Trio line up, we dont need an offensive Center, just one that hustles, plays defense, rebounds and block shots!!!!

How about sending Cato to a Skrink? or better yet a Hypnotist? (I could see it now, CATO oh CATO, look into the crystal ball and when you wake up you will become SHAQ!!)

The way I see it, there are no more suitors out there for his services (and his contract). Chicago picked up Curry, and the long shot would be a trade, STRAIGHT UP, for Brad Miller. Boston & Utah are desparate for a center, but who else?

Cato is a very disappointing individual.

If you were making $7 million a year to sit and watch basketball, would you beg to get out of that?

ENOUGH OF ALL THIS BASH-CATO CRAP! HE'S NOT THAT BAD! GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE TO HAVE A FULL SEASON! MAYBE HE WILL DO BETTER IF HE IS HEALTHY. JUST STOP BASHING THE GUY, IT IS GETTING ANNOYING AND IT MAKES ROCKET FANS LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF SPOILED TWITS!

    Thank you.

If we do resign Dream, then Cato will have the same continued problem, as last year, with minutes. He will need that time to prove everybody wrong, if he can!!

If Hakeem returns, who gets the minutes: Cato or Collier? Is Collier going to sit on the pine for the rest of his career? Is Cato? Hakeem will demand the minutes (if he is healthy), and returns.

The fact is that the rockets have no long term center in their plans and with the miracle Draft of 2001, a long-term center is probably Rudy & Co. #1 priority this off season!!! (after resigning Mo)

Collier could be a good back up (or be a bust). Cato does not seem to have the heart to play in CLUTCH CITY! I remember in that preseason game, he was challenging every shot. He would jump high in the air for those blocks. Since then, he rarely comes out and challenges the shot, and then shows laziness by barely raising his hands in hopes that the ball will come to him. Then he gets in foul trouble, and argues every call with the refs.

I remember watching Calvin Murphy last season, repeating himself that Cato is a shot blocker, why isn't he challenging the shooter? Cato claimed last year, that his mother helped him get the confidence to light it up last year (it never happen), who will be his guiding light this year? Competition is always the best cure, but with Hakeem back that will not happen. If Hakeem retires (in case of future health problems before season starts) then Cato will look like an idiot if Collier is the starting center. Maybe that will motivate him to excel. Just resigns and Griffin beats him for the starting job, that might make Shandon the 6th player of the year!!!
