    JEEEEZZZUSS PEOPLE!

i keep reading people say that we shouldn't trade KT, we should trade MoTay instead. blah, blah, blah.

hello!!! mcfly!!!! motay is coming off of a torn achilles and just signed a fat contract. what team in their right mind would take on that level of risk, especially considering we have an expendable KT on our roster? no one! plus, the rockets have made it clear that they are excited about motay's future. so he ISN'T GOING TO BE TRADED!!!

    GET OVER IT.

Somebody might be willing to take the risk and the contract. The problem for those who want to include him in a trade is that we won't get anything in return for him right now. He will NEVER have less trade value than right now. Give him half a season to show he's healthy and we might get something for him. It goes "Buy low, sell high", not vice versa!!

Seriously speaking, Mo had a great year two years ago for us. He did not dominate, but he did his job. Now, people are on his ass because he tore his achilles. The only reason he gained weight is because its kinda hard to stay in shape with a torn achilles. Give him a chance people. I would take MoTay at his best in a heartbeat over KT at his best.

Mo T will be a rocket at least this year . He has to prove he is fully recovered from the achilles injury. Will he play
    in the summer league

Amen. I am not in favor of all these "fans" coming in here and telling us what the Rockets should do. Let actions take place and listen to what the insiders have to say. Then sit there in awh as you read what they type. It isn't that hard.

I agree with verse 100%. The only person on this team that anyone may really want is Kenny Thomas. My only hope is that we could package a bargain player like Kenny with one of our overpaid players. We have four of those on this team the way I see it: 1) Rice, 2) Mo-T, 3) Cato, 4) The Mooch (using the formula... Contribution - Salary = Net Worth). I think Rice and Taylor are the most unlikely. My goal however is for the Rockets to find a team interested in a Thomas/Cato/#15 or a Thomas/Moochie/#15 deal to move up a couple slots in the draft (and a player or two in return).

There are four small forwards in this draft that could contribute this season...1) Butler - Impossible (the best player in the draft), 2) Dunleavy - Very Unlikely, 3) Boki Nochbar, and 4) Q. Woods. I don't think any of these guys will be there at #15, but if we could somehow move up to an #9-12 I think we could land Nochbar or Woods. My prediction is that Tskitishivili will not go near as early as many mocks are predicting.

Do you think we could package Kenny to move up from #15 to an 9, 10, 11, or 12 pick?

What in the fiznack is everyone's infatuation with Kenny Thomas? The guy hustles and ...... did I mention he hustles? He had a great year for himself, but it came at the price of an entire lineup injured. The guy has skills, but none anywhere close to Mo Taylor's. I find it interesting that so many allude to CD and Rudy's high opinion of Ming to justify drafting him and then turn around and state that KT is better than MoT. Why in the hell do you think that we are paying him so handsomely? The guy fits into what we are trying to do. And about the pot thing, it is getting VERY old. Kareem smoked dope and is quite possibly the best player in league history, there is no correlation between pot and a player's quality.

True. There is, however, a correlation with testing positive for pot and then getting suspended.

In all fairness, however, I think (perhaps 'pray' is the proper term) that Mo will think more about the meat in team and lose some of that rumproast of his.

Incidentally, do you guys think we'll trade KT plus a pick for an earlier pick? I'm becoming dubious (get it Mo Taylor? duuuuuu-beee... uhh, nevermind) about any sort of a youth movement. Our team is stupid enough... and Yao and Eddie should get all of the attention in the playpen.

That's why we should *gasp* do something that makes me shiver when I even think about it. We should

    I can't.. I feel nau- hooooooah.

    gross.

I think we should trade the Pick + player + ( Taylor V Rice ) for

    Glennnnnn

    Robinson.

oh no, huc oh god hhhoo hoooooooooooooah.

All the Mo haters will be right back on the bandwagon as soon he hits a buzzer beater or leads us into victory... those are the fake rocket fans

I like Kenny since he entered the league. Undersized but skillful, the way he got treated by the refs was disgusting. Good to see him getting some respect as a result of his efforts.

Nonetheless, Kenny should be traded for the sake of himself and the team. It's the situation that demands, nothing to do with the fact what a fine player he is.

We win 45 games with mo t, win 25 with kt, and the year before mo t we won like thirty somethin. Mo t helps our team a lot more than kt.

(Guys i'm sorry i post to many threads, i had no idea it was that bad. I swear i'll post 1 or 2 times a week. Ok, i just want to fit in.)

The only way to send MoTay packing is to include value along w/ the giant risk/money pit known as Maurice Taylor....along the lines of the 15th pick...stuff like that.

and no, moochie norris doesn't count
and no, adding Mobley will not get you KG

All you Mo T supporters are missing the point of the thread...Mo T will not be traded because NO ONE WANTS HIM...not because he means so much to our team. He makes a ton of cash, he is coming off a very serious injury and most importantly, he ain't that good.
