    Alston + Battier = Jefferson

    ??

works salary cap wise, but is RJ injury prone?

    Outgoing Players
    Carl Landry
    6-8 from Purdue
No games yet played in 2006/07
    John Lucas
    5-11 PG from Oklahoma State
    3.3 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.7 apg in 8.2 minutes
    Rafer Alston
    6-2 PG from Frenso State

Yes that would be very good for us and maybe not that bad for NJ. I remember last home game against NJ when Boki showed his best. Really smart guy.

If we some how get Nachbar, then I will die and go to heaven. Nothing will top that and this off season.

    Alston + Novak
    for
    Nachbar

Had Nachbar managed a higher pay check than Rafer?

When are we gonna accept that Rafer is the last resort for any other team? A random kid from the local YMCA is more appealing to the Nets than Rafer.

If and when the Rockets are successful in trading Rafer, they will be happy to get a 2nd round draft choice and a trade exception.

Don't expect them to ask for a player in return, unless that player gets paid -25% less than Rafer and has an expiring contract after the season.

the rox shouldn't be in too big of a rush to throw rafer to the curb...one never knows what the injury issues could be with our other 30+ year old pg's (minus rookie aaron brooks) and he'd be a priceless assest if francis or james went down. plus once the season opens up there are teams out there bound to be desperate for help at the 1.

If anyone does not believe in Rafer, direct them to this thread:

did rafer alston run the offense last season?

64.62% people here thought Rafer can run offense.

Happy? They'd be thrilled for that. I'd jump for joy. BTW - ainta gonna happen...gonna have to take back someone else's contract headache...unless a $9mm Point was lost for the season and the team received an injury exception (1/2 value of contract). Odds on that happening? Anyone?

The Rox need to trim the roster so whichever move they can make that will have them taking back less players than they are giving up is good.

I think Rafer is our best point-forward.

    My first post guys!!!
    Happy to be here.
They do really need a pg now but Alston for Nachbar doesn't work , maybe get a 3rd team involved or do Alston+Lucas+Reed for Collins.

That'd be impressive if our offese was worth a sh*t last year.

Welcome to the board. You're right about Alston not working for Boki, but we should never suggest trading for Collins. He'd be the worst guy on our roster.

    Thanks :)
I am not so familiar with him.
I suggested trading Rafer for him because is contract is one year shorter than Alston , he can play 4 and 5 and we also get rid of Reed and Lucas in this deal.
