i have never seen a team sign so amny ex players from a differtnt team, much less old ones.stop the madness!! will these guys even play?
we got rid of MoTay and that is a very good thing. Moochie was redundant when we had Francis. We dont have a true PG right now and he could see some minutes. I see James and Moochie splitting the minutes until Sura comes back. Sura can probably get the rest he needs now. Doesn't really matter who the trading partner was.
Unlike the Spoon and Charlie Ward acquisitions, I don't think this really had to do with JVG wanting his "type" of players. This was purely a salary move...it didn't matter what team it was.
Phil Jackson is a "champion at heart," and has a lengthy resume for several clubs. My guess is his fondest allegiance would be to the Knicks, although that is pure supposition. He played 11 years, in New York. He was a player/assistant coach for two years in New Jersey. He coached 9 years in Chicago. He coached 5 years in Los Angeles. That doesn't count the CBA time, although maybe he could be considered an "Albany Patroon" at heart JVG on the other hand, spent four years at the High School and College ranks, fourteen with the Knicks (his only NBA organization before the Rox), and now two in Houston.
This board ragged on management all season (and for the last 3 years) to ditch Taylor and his contract, and when it finally gets done they get bagged on for dealing with the Knicks.
no doubt.... we got rid of Mo....we get out of the contract being paid quicker(after next year) and we get a 2nd round pick that will be much lower than ours... and people are b****in???? incredible. it doesnt matter who it was to,,,,it just happened that Zeke was the only GM stupid enough to take Mo off our hands. get over the NY thing yall...it doesnt matter.
CD needs to go to San Francisco and merry Isaiah! Then, everyday, we'd have hope to rip the Knicks off! JVG needs to hang out in NY even more after today.
even though i liked the trade, it was funny that it had to be with the knicks again. apparently that's why we got rid of moochie in the first place, he hadn't been a knick yet. now he is worthy of playing for jvg.
its the constant "geting an old knick thing" i am tired of, god deal for mo but check out the list in just 1 1/2 seasons mark jackson strickland spoon mutombo oakley baker mooch ward come on its like "if you wernt a knick,we wont talk to you..." i know thats not the case but man seems like it.
lets see, dikembe played 1 out of his 14 years for ny... strickland played 1.5 out of 16 years for ny... spoon played 2 and a half out of 13 for ny...
