I am new to this forum but just wanna say first that this site rocks! By now we all now the Rockets are 12-18, after playing wonderfully against two good teams, Washington and Cleveland, which to be honest, I thought they would lose. Looking at the upcoming schedule, the Rockets will be facing pretty easy teams, besides Denver and New Orleans, who I believe we can still beat. With that said, if we are able to defeat all the teams on the upcoming schedule (which the Rockets can) we will be at .500 by January 18 before we face Dallas. Maybe this is the turning point for us.
Welcome. I like the enthusiasm...but, first, Washington is not really a good team. They can score, but so soft on defense. Second, .500 by Jan. 18th would be amazing...but never count your chickens before they hatch, especially with this team. Let's just try and beat Toronto first.
Welcome, and I'm a believer in this team. I'm also hoping that Yao's rest will be a benefit later...assuming we can repeat the second half of last season and make the playoffs.
welcome. but this year with this team, it has to be taken one game at a time. we've had so many injuries and lineups, and JVG not really knowing how to handle it all. just focus on winning one game at a time. getting into the playoff hunt is going to be difficult, i hope we make it but right now, it doesn't look too good. we've been playing well the past couple of nights but i just want to take it slow. don't want to get myself up too high, just to get let down again.
Of course we can hold up. THe team is finally getting healthy again and the role players Head,Alston,WEsley,Howard,Mutombo and sometimes Swift are doing whats asked of them. THis team may be 12-18 record wise but if not for all the injuries we would be with atleast 18 or 19 wins. The Rocketsare still in this just believe. Go Rockets!!!
No - we will crumble like a bunch of weak sissy boys. ... just kiddin' Of course we can hold up! There's lots of games left to play. And it's no coincidence that we're getting wins as our players are returning. Things are gonna get better and better.
We definitely will hold up. I thought we'd be lucky to come out of January with 6-10 due to the way we were playing last month, and not knowing Alston would be back a few days ago. I always thought Skip is the key to our offense, because he takes care of the ball, frees up TMac to concentrate on scoring, and moves the ball around with easy. With him on the court, our offense was so much smooth. Now I think we can go 10-6, which will make us 20-24 by the end of the month. With Yao coming back then, we'll make a push for the playoff. Oh, welcome!
dont jinx it! remember last years playoffs, everyone was saying it and somebody made a video about it ... now when we get to the WCF, be my guest
If you look back at R2k's game 6 clip from last year you can see a "Clutch City III, Revenge of the Mac" sign in the stands at the TC. Awesome. Fear it Dallas - we're coming.
