Seeing there are only about 10 games remaining for the season, it is likely that if we keep playing well, we'd be able to secure the the second spot. Utah is currently in 7th and if not much is changed, we could face them yet again this post season.
It'd be better not to face them at least in the 1st round of the playoff. Let's just build our confidence beating NO, Blazers or Nuggets in the 1st round.
I am getting SICK of MuthaFrakers sh***ing a brick about about fricking UTAH!!! Hell yes we CAN AND WIN BEAT those JazzHoles Rocket River
I started a somewhat similar thread about this after the Utah game and got blasted by some sore losers.......DD..... The answer is No, bad matchup problems
We had home court advantage last season too. I think we would still beat them even without homecourt advantage this season if this would be the case.
Honestly I want Utah more than any team in the NBA. I hate them so much I would love to get revenge rather than hide from them......
I really hope we do face them this season, in the first round because if we win the championship (far fetched, I know) without giving them a good ass whopping, analysts would always say stuff like, ..."well what if they had faced Utah?" We don't want to be champions without overcoming our nemisis!
****, i seriously dont want rockets to play them even with home court advantage. Theres a big chance we'd get killed cuz of bad matchups every where
The fact is that Utah plays dirty... and for whatever reason, the refs "let them play". After that one ref was busted for gambling and claimed the Rox / Jazz game was fixed it makes me even more suspicious. (see sig)
there will be no analyst saying crap like that because they aren't a dynasty like the 90's Bulls (Jordan retired) or the Lakers, they are the Utah Jazz. I understand if they were reigning champs, but they never won a thing.
No, but this is not a knock on this team at all. Match up problems are everything, this is something that the Jazz has over us. Plus, they do play with no dignity, kinda like that friend who cheeses all the time in your NBA basketball games. However, if we do in fact have homecourt advantage, it could be a toss up, but I'd rather not risk the chance of having something as winning in Utah in a playoff atmosphere. This next game against them will really give us the real answer to this question though. We're finding ways to play without Yao. This is the root of all of our match up problems and we are well on the right track of fixing it, starting with fronting.
