Well I know there is a good possibility he will not be here, but if he is, can tmac get past the first round? The year that tmac played the jazz he didn't even have rafer. This team will be a lot better than that team, because scola, landry, brooks are much better then they were. Also you we add lowry and chase into the mix . We need the right matchup, but I could see us beating the blazers or the suns. Teams that aren't very big.
your head is a bit messed up by the bspn i guess. the right way to think of it is - can this TEAM get to the 2nd round or go farther? even if you're a huge fan, the best way to ask is - can this team go 2nd rd with mcgrady (or any other rocket)?
Like it or not, Tracy contributed to a couple wins last year and like all contributors to that Rockets team, he advanced to the second round.
i think we need to see how he plays first. if he is a 20/6/5 player without ballstopping, then yes, we can get to the second rd with him on the team. if he ballstops and "it's on me" crap then we are lucky to get maybe 2 games in the first rd. also depends on the matchups. if we r playing la then i actually like our chances with him on the team. denver not so much. same goes for utah and san antonio. dallas would be sweet revenge. but he isnt coming back so who cares. maybe he'll be able to do it with the lakers next year.
sorry for the double post. he contributed to more losses than wins and i dont recall him playing in any playoff games last year. so, NO, he didnt make it to the second round. the most positive thing you can say is he contributed to us making the playoffs, but even that is a stretch.
You're straying from the topic at hand. He helped us get the playoff seed we had, whether he was a negative or positive factor doesn't mean squat. He was still apart of that team.
t-mac was very negative to the team on and off the court. iirc the team was in dissaray all the way up to the all star break last season untill t-mac said he was out for the season, that's when we started sharing the ball more.
I have 3 interesing questions. Can Tmac get to the second round? He's the only season leading scorer who never gets to it. Can Hill get to the second round? He's the only Dream Team III member who never gets to it. Can Nash get to the finals? He's the only MVP who never gets to it.
Sorry, I had to do it. Spoiler Why are there no videos of Tracy McGrady playing in the second round?
Tracy biggest problems in the playoffs have been he has been asked to finish off series by himself. If he come to this team healthy, Get's a favorable matchup (Not Face the Lakers in 1st Round) he will get past the second round trust me on this one. Look at the teams he has played on in the playoffs thought his career. The system has been give him the ball and say here win the game. While other teams like the Jazz and Mavericks has had coaches with a strategic effort on offense to get shots within an offense instead of best player with ball.
This is an odd season that's for sure. The suns werent seen by hardly anyone to comeout and end up being 2nd in the west, the Spurs are fighting age, Dallas is decents and so is denver. The Lakers are at the top and will probably stay that way. My prediction for the West Standings in April 1) La Lakers 2) Phoenix Suns 3) Dallas Mavericks 4) Denver Nuggest 5) Houston Rockets 6) San Antonio spurs 7) Blazers 8) Utah Jazz Playoffs round 2 La The Suns Mavs Rockets If we face the nuggets we would fare well. Billups would kill us in match ups ( though I feel we'd have better chances if we start Lowry in that Scenario) Nene is undersized, Melo could be held back some what by Battriza and we do normally beat this team season in and out. If T-mac comes back healthy and putting up atleast 20ppg the first round would be ours ANd yes Im a very optomistic guy and believer in a T-mac friendy Team CR
Maybe as the twelfth man on a loaded team with limited garbage time minutes. It's pretty clear Tracy's style of basketball isn't conducive to winning playoff games.
