Can the Rockets take a shot at Wade?

This is far fetched and there is no rumor involving a trade outside of this: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=178796

But on PTI today I heard Wade is really unhappy, he is so unhappy he isn't even speaking to teammates due to the losing.

Wade is expiring next year and Heat get NOTHING if he walks (which seems more and more likely).

So what if the Rockets move: Landry, Brooks OR Lowry, Tmac for Wade and James Jones or Q-Rich. (Trade works salary wise with Q-Rich or James Jones + trade exception, I think they would be more inclined to trade JJ cuz of his 4 year contract vs. Q-Rich having expiring).

This sounds like A LOT for essentially just Wade + Filler, but some facts:

    1) Landry is gonna demand 10-12 mill/year next year, which Rockets I believe will not pay. If you don't believe me look at last year: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4320029 (Paul Milsap got 4 year/36 mill) and no one can tell me Landry is not getting hyped up WAY more than Milsap was last year + add the fact Landry I believe is a better overall player as well.

    2) Brooks has 2 years left (including this year) for $1 mill/yr, but after that he will also demand a pretty big contract, right now he has a LOT more value than Lowry which is only reason I believe Heat would rather/may demand they get him in the trade as well.

    - I'd like to add I'd prefer to keep Brooks, but it just doesn't seem like Heat would even think about this trade without Brooks.

    3) This would build our team for next year. Can you imagine Wade + Yao. (Very Heat Days) A younger Shaq (I think a bit more skilled than that old version) and an upgrade Wade due to his upped bball IQ from years of playing + still having the same (if not more) skills.

This would seem like it would work on all fronts. Both sides get really what they need. Heat get 2 very young, very GOOD players to go along with Beasley.

Rockets get that 1 go-to player in the clutch + a wing for Yao that everyone was praying Tmac was gonna become at some point.

Thoughts? Feel free to flame on :D.

I personally think we will have to add a first round draft pick for it, but I think they can get better offers for Wade.

The only way this works is if they let TMAC walk and save up with alot of cap room

jermaine o neal for t-mac seems to be a rumor and their salaries match. actually wouldnt mind having o'neal since he's 6'11 and can shot block.

Get it done, Morey... except I'd think Riley would try and keep Wade by adding T-Mac to the Heat. ;)

    J. O'Neal may work.

O'Neal and Wade for Yao and TMac?

I kid, but it all seems very farfetched. I will wait to be proven wrong.

I don't think many teams can/will give better. Because this way we are making them young + saving them a ton of money.

Also teams need a Tmac type contract where it is big and can expire, which many teams don't have. This way we take Wade + a filler bad contract player.

Maybe adding picks and stuff would be needed, but players in this trade are key IMO.

I don't want J O'neal at all and I don't think Morey will. Way too big a contract for not enough production, won't fit with team once Yao gets back.

Really Rockets need the most help @ the 2, and a clutch shooter. Wade fits this PERFECTLY. Otherwise I'd rather they just let Tmac expire and sign someone like Bosh this offseason.

I think the only fair trade would be...

Tracy Mcgrady + Carl Landry + Brian Cook + Battier

    for

    Dwayne Wade + Q-rich + James

McGrady + Taylor + Scola for Wade + Cook + Jones?

Just throwing something out there. I'd like to keep Brooks and Landry.

wade might be tmac 2.0. His style of play is not conducive to being healthy for long.

That's exactly why I added them in the trade. Everyone wants Brooks and Landry, but likely to get a player like Wade, both will need to be included.

I don't see why Heat would take this.

Battier doesn't fit the getting young bill. Brooks, Landry, Beasley is something you can build off of, Landry, Battier, and Beasley not so much.

Damn, you're right waffles. Just don't want to lose 'em in this scenario. :(

I think you have something there, though. Hope it can work out. Who would be Lowry's back-up? Our boy Llull from Spain?

I actually believe DM is going to use TMac's contract as the principal piece to get Wade.

Wade wants talent around him. If you take away Brooks and Landry, that's a lot of talent gone, and you can't guarantee anything with Yao.

We'd also lose our backup PF. I think you fill those voids w/ FAs OR make it a 3 way trade and pickup Andre Miller for Battier, and this trade would be very sexy.

    We can't, but Morey can.

I bet Riley is trying to swing for the fences here. Trade everything they have and try to get room to sign both Lebron and Bosh. I just don't see why they want McGrady this year unless they intend to resign him for cheap and market Miami as a premiere place to play for FA alongside Wade/Mac.
