The Republican controlled Congress will not impeach a sitting Republican Preisdent. If Bush were a Democrat, he would be long gone.

Clinton had an investigation for white water, ended with monica. No evidence for white water, just keep looking for something, anything else. Why, in 94 the GOP took control of both houses, and let the investigation just continue throughout his administration investigating things that had nothing to with the original mandate. The GOP holds both houses with an Republican president so.....you do the math.

 

I'm not so sure even if the Democrats take control of both houses in November, a very big if, that most of them would bring up impeachment proceedings against Bush.

Face it, we've got Bush for at least three more years. In the words of Trent Reznor, "Bow down before the one you serve, you're going to get what you deserve."

The smart move would to sick a special prosecutor on his ass wrt the NSA illegal wiretapping. (Maybe even appoint a separate special prosecutor on maipulating intelligence and lying the country into war.) W's poll number would continue to go south, drapping his party with him. And W is way too stupid to resign.

The Ds are not smart and will probably go for the immediate political hit of impeachment.

Nevermind the topic has been brought up several times already by the "hit and run" liberals who pop over from the GARM to stir up manure, then disappear as quickly as they popped in.
