Ok, I've always had this theory that true Seinfeld fans cannot be true Friends fans and vice versa. IMHO, Friends cater to the trendy metrosexual crowd and Seinfeld attract the opposite type of crowd. I've asked friends and coworkers and for the most part they are proving me right. Reading the Michael Richards thread also made me wonder. Now I just want to test this theory here. Oh, and Curb Your Enthusiasm fans should vote for Seinfeld since Larry David is the creator and co-creator of both shows. I don't even know anything about the show Joey but I'm thinking alot of the Friends fans followed that guy there. Me, I'm an anti-Friendtite.
I liked Friends during it's first 4-5 seasons then I got sick of it. Seinfeld is my favorite show of all-time. So I would say that I like both shows.
I was a closet friends fan during its run. I didn't really like Seinfeld. Over the last couple years I've caught reruns on the tele and have grown into a big fan of the program.
I can recite the dialog to just about every Seinfeld episode ever (except the first 2 seasons, which were kind of lame) but I would rather stick a rusty school compass up my anus than watch Friends. I'm not sure how any guy can watch that show (Friends) unless his wife/girlfriend makes him.
Seinfeld was better, but Friends was enjoyable for the most part. Got extremely lame in the end, when it became caricatures swapping bed partners. I'm not in the majority, but I can't stand Curb Your Enthusiasm. I think it's god awful and is the sum of everything I don't like about NYers put into one person. Evan
I guess I never really got Seinfeld. I didn't watch Friends when it first started, but I've really enjoyed it watching it in syndication. Both shows had crappy final episodes...
Seinfeld was good. Friends was okay...for like the first couple of seasons when they tried. But even then it was just okay.
I hated them both but Seinfeld especially. It's not that I don't like all things trendy, it's that I am not a fan of sitcoms and I absolutely hate canned laughter. The only comedy shows that I can think of that I have liked are That 70's Show (even though it had a laugh track) and The Office. Pretty much any and everything else is annoying.
