Look. I am not comparing PPat to Amare. I am just wondering whether PPat can develop an attitude which is to dominate on the court like Amare in his rookie year?

PPat is foundationally sound on almost every facets of his game and he fully aware what he is doing on the court. I like how he plays above the rim when given the chance which is quite similar to Amare. They both got altheticism and agility. Well, I mean Amare was doing it while being drafted at No.9, so I see some similarity here, and there is no reason why PPat can't do it.

I see ray of hope. What do you think?

If he stops playing defense he can be one step closer to Amare

Amare was a high school student draft pick. That's why he fell to #9.

I don't mind to have our own Amare who plays defense. ;)

Really though? This is what we do?

I want PatPat to develop his own unique persona on the court and attitude. Sky's the limit for the kid. if he want to, he can be better than onesided Stoudemire.

Was Amare an over-aged high school student?

He never played any basketball above high school. So he dropped to #9. how many different ways do I need to say that?

dude, this is a very poor comparison. Amare doesn't defend and doesn't pass like PPatt and doesn't rebound like him either. And PPatt will likely never score 26ppg like Amare.

Compare him to someone else. Hell, compare him to Cousins in style and ability.

They are nothing alike. I would rather have Patterson develop a Duncan attitude than Amare attidude. Amare never won anything. He doesn't play D.

Didn't I say I wasn't comparing them? How hard is it to read properly?
I am saying I would like PPat to develop the domination attitude. I hope I didn't offend some people here.

I think some of you are missing the OP's point. He is not saying he want PatPat to play like Amare, he is saying he want PatPat to possess the same attitude that Amare possess. Amare has a swagger that I think would definitely benefit PatPat's game. Give him a bad*ss attitude and his game could take another leap.

You're right. I got side tracked. I only meant to say why Amare fell to #9. sry.

No I like Ppats attitude better.

And I am a Amare supporter and wanted him on this team. But if Amare had Ppats attitude he'd be A LOT better.

    Ppat is fine attitude wise.

I love Patterson the way he is, ill take his humble, hustle on O and D attitude over Amar'e's any day

I agree. I like players who do their talking on the court. Patterson will earn respect from other teams soon enough without having to put on a show.

Just out of curiosity what was Amare's "Swagger" rating pre draft? It seems to be important somehow.

I understand the "doing their talking on the court" stuff. But even Hayes shows a badass attitude in the last few games.
I don't mean PPat to turn into a doubebag, but a little intimidation presence on the court will surely be a good thing to his confidence.
