Can our old bodies on the team stand the 66 game beating?

Given the injury history of this team, and our 'renowned' medical staff, I'm kind of worried.

Martin has been injury prone in the past, and Scola for the most part has been an Iron-man...until now.

Will the 66 Games do them in? Is this one of the reasons why Morey was shopping them? back-to-back-to-backs...ugh :(

We don't have any old bodies.....and injuries happen to every team.

What old bodies? Martin is only 28 and 31. And those are the two oldest p
    Ayers on the team.

Injuries are more likely to happen on one given play, not over a long season. Now if there's already an existing injury, then it may get worse, but everyone seems fine now, except for PP and dragic, who are rehabbing.

They will be fine. McHale will find a way to give them enough rest and watch their minutes.

If we don't make any big moves, not a bad thing to force the coach's hand into spreading the minutes more evenly. He'll have to do that to cope with the schedule, but it's good for our young team to get enough chances and exposure.

Scola is not "OLD" per se, but he plays BBALL (Argentinia Nationals, Olympics) all year round.

Martin is injury prone. Last season was his only relatively injury free season (knock on wood)

There are much older teams in the league, and they also have to play the same schedule.

My guess is teams will manage minutes and rotation differently in response to the schedule. Probably need to get more minutes from bench guys, especially when the calendar gets dense.

The Rockets only have one set of back-to-back-to-back games (12/29 - 12/31) this season. Do you really think that the one extra game is going to be catastrophic to their health?

Scola is still an iron man, just think about it a BIG GUY fell directly into his knee.

After that, he played some games at the end of the season, and played well with his NT. For an injury prone player, a big guy falling into his knee would mean a career ending injury.

Didn't Scola get his knee scoped in the offseason. Is there any concern on that situation?

The question I want to know is will Carmelo's and Stoudemire's body hold up to a fast 66 game schedule?

You know 66 games is less than a full season, right?

I wonder where the Rockets rank in age compared to the rest of the league? I think we are one of the younger teams, certainly younger than we were last year.
