Can Olajuwon even comeback to Houston?

After all the media fuss and hassle about the Olajuwon situation, what's the motivation for Hakeem to come back to Houston?

I'm sure it's been tossed around how Hakeem may feel unappreciated by taking less money to comeback to Houston. Does he not play the same because of it? Does he gripe about it later in the season around the trade deadline? I also wonder if Rudy and CD wonder the same thing.

That being said, is CD on the phone to other agents and FAs? It would appear that a Plan B would need to be in place just in case.

depends on the contract he would sign.

If he goes back a step (ie 2yr deal), it would do wonders for the pr hammering he's taken. I see this happening at the same time as I win the lotto in every state, simultaniously (allowing for time-zones of course [IMG])

If/when he actually signs here, most of us would welcome him back regardless. We would forgive but not forget (sorry aboutteh cliches).

YES! HE COULD STILL COME BACK TO HOUSTON!

But he won't. I have lost all hope. Hakeem will NOT be back.

If Bud Adams has the guts to still have a house here in Houston, Hakeem can still play for the Rockets. But, will he? -- the question of the evening.

Bud Adams loves Houston. Yeah he took the team out of here but I give him the respect to helping out Houston by giving money when the flooding happened in June.

I agree that what Bud did was a really cool thing to do. He's not all that bad of a guy. I'm just saying that after taking the "Houston" out of the "Oilers", he did show guts to stay in Houston. Fans here in Houston did not plan to erect a statue of Bud while he was owner, but after he left town, wow!!

there was a story on espn or cnnsi...i forget which..

anyways they were talking about how players which made their name in a city would sign a contact for the minimum at the ends of their careers...ie art monk, roger craig.....

they would be cut after a day...and received no compensation...the intent was for them to retire with the team of their choice...
