It sounds good but speed and Cato's ability to guard PF's are questionable. We need to find a way to keep Ming on the floor so he can learn. Suggestions?
I guess it all depends on the match up against the other team......or let other teams adjust their lineup against ours....
Timing sometimes I think to myself "This guy is not nice" and then other times I think "This guy is really not nice" but I always think "This guy is pretty funny".
No, it means your posts usually don't sound stupid like yours just did. Senior members can't spank you through the screen unless they get you to sound like an idiot. Except for the mods. Now those guys you have to watch out for...
Timing, please play nice with the young'ens. Instead of saying mean things like "Playstation maybe" say something positive like "Flowers smell nice" or "Geeze, puppies are fun"
oh great now the women hater is back...i try to talk basketball and you guys just want to hate, that is very sad.
I didn't even know you were a woman. It's so tough to tell nowadays. To answer your question, I would doubt you're going to see Cato and Yao on the floor together very often. Cato and Olajuwon didn't play together much I don't think and considering Dream has skills similar to Yao in that they can both face up to the basket, hit from the perimeter, and block shots then I don't see a reason why RudyT would do it now and not then. In addition to that, we're PF heavy right now and I don't see RudyT sitting MoT, KT, and EG in favor of having Cato and Yao on the floor.
Look BUBS, I don't hate women and I don't hate you. I appreciate the fact that you eventually said you were sorry for starting those threads and I am ready to move on. You should know however, that if you say something stupid in here someones gonna say so, same thing goes for me. You see thats how it works here, we all keep each other in check. This is the best basketball bbs on the net, and it didn't get this way by lowering it's standards to the new posters. It got this way by raising the standards of the new posters. I hope you can understand that.
i just thought that a good weak side defender would be helpful on d...to keep Ming out of Foul trouble. Seems to make sense, i guess not.
I know this is gonna flat-out floor you,but I somewhat agree with you. I would like to see a "twin-towers" lineup..even temporarily..of Cato and Yao Ming. Reminicent of Ralph and Akeem back in 86 when they took it to LA in the playoffs.. I realize this could never be a long-term, starting lineup..but in certain instances, it would be fun to watch.. Bubs, on a personal note..I dont hold grudges and I have nothing against females..all you need to do here to get respect is to talk good ball and you will be accepted ...(more than likely) but like htown said, if you talk stupid ball, you will be called out by others..its how everyone here gets treated, you are no different regardless of your sex...
I think it's a great idea against the Lakers. Yao will need protection from Shaq. They can switch defensivley and double him on the block. Just like Lambier and Mahorn.
It is possible ,however to see Cato and Ming on the floor the same time, both players will just simply have foul trouble earlier the game, considering a lot of guards would like to penetrate to tall slower defender.
I think youd have several problems with that setup. 1) As little as Cato offers you offensively at the 5, he would offer absolutely nothing at the 4 playing the high post. 2) Guarding at the 4 spot would require great footwork defensively. Catos never had to do that on a consistant basis so Im not quite sure he could pull it off. 3) If Ming and Cato are in the game, who is the backup bigman? 4) I think Cato would be foul prone at the 4. Actually, if you did that, I would put Ming at the 4 and Cato at the 5. Ming looks to be versatile enough to pull it off (just like Sampson).
