Looks like Dream Team is going up against the pesky Lithuanians again...Can the Lithos do another number on the Dream Team? Will it be close? Can they actually win? Is Mourning back yet? ------------------
Mourning is back. He had 8 points and 3 blocks in 21 minutes vs Russia. The Lithuanians have lost the surprise element. I can see it 2 ways. Lithuania plays with confidence and knows they have nothing to lose and a Silver Medal at the worst. They force the U.S. to play an internation style game. In this case, it's another close one. The other extreme is the U.S. players take it personally and open with intensity and never let up. Hot outside shooting negates the zone and spreads the floor. End result is a blowout. ------------------ GATER
Bet watch out if the aussie win tonight cause we're gunnin for ya ------------------ Discombobulation Imminent
The Lithuanians need to use their big men to get 'Zo in foul trouble. Then they just need to make their FT's and they'll win! They missed 16 last time and lost by 9.... I can't see them winning though. Good luck to them in the bronze medal playoff against France! ------------------
WEll, to my original question ("can lightening strike twice?") I guess I would have to answer: BAAAANNNGGGGG!!!! (picture lightening bolts) ------------------
MAAAAN! That Was a CLOSE one! If this keeps up, I'm afraid I'll have to stop supporting the US Team and go with Lithuania next time! ------------------ Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!
