Yao is no Shaq, he's a finesse player who can hit 20 ft jumper. Why has Yao had to do WWF in the paint every single time? We've seen how frustrated Yao was against the frointing trick. Can JVG mix some high post play for Yao where he can use his range and passing skill? Sure, low post shot is a higher % play but factor in the TO cost by forced feed and the wild shot our guards had when YM didn't get a deep position. I wouldn't mind seeing YM being B.Miller at times.

No high-post design will be effective w/o a legitimate ballhandler. I'm not sure McGrady's return will address the ballhandling/turnover/post-feed issues.

Head has no reason advancing the ball. I cringe when I see him (Swift, or Bowen) dribble. By the time Head struggles to bring the ball up the court, the offense is out of rhythm and the time clock becomes an issue.

Wesley and Anderson need to learn how to feed the post w/o hurling the ball in the general vicinity of the post player. Post players are less likely to lose position chasing after wild entry passes if passes are delivered *to the post player*.

Houston desperately needs a ballhandling PG who has a little bit of speed, can dribble against defense, make accurate passes, and can hit the open shot.

It isn't Mike James. And it isn't Alston, Head, or Wesley. Asking McGrady to be the primary ballhandler and score will tire him out by the fourth quarter.

Houston needs a guy like Jason Williams, Marbury, or Hinrigh at PG.

Fortunately, teams are more than willing to trade w/ a below .500 Houston team.

Agree. But I think Head right now is doing a good job at the point. Yes I'm aware that he's more effective as SG. But at these times TMAC is out, he's the perfect in that position, and since Wesley's touch are getting better, he can play PG, he can shoot, he can penetrate, but most of all, he's the only guy who's finding the best way to pass the ball to Yao because his defender can't stay away from him.

I can see their offense improving but defensively they're still not communicating and showing some more efforts.

No, the Rockets have run out of dry-erase markers.
