We moved our treadmill to the garage because our kid likes to do gymnastics on it, and the cord is annoyingly too short... SOOOOOOOO can I just use an extension cord & surge protector at the outlet?

As long as you can plug it in, it should be just fine.

You guys are perverts, but you asked for her pic and here it is.

You should check how much current that thing draws and ensure that the cord can carry that much current. A thin extension cord might not work.

    This.

Use the shortest extension cord possible, with the proper amperage rating... otherwise the voltage drop over the extension cord can burn out the motor prematurely.
