Can Cops Manipulate Traffic Lights For Tickets In Your Opinion?

    Not sure if this has been discussed around here before but I found this article pretty interesting. I never really thought about it, but it kind of makes sense. My personal opinion of it is that if anyone is to control traffic lights, it's txdot or the dps (and by that I mean they should have their own workers with full control of traffic lights). The only thing the cops should be able to do at traffic light intersections is help coordinate traffic when the lights are down until they are brought back up. You never know when you can have a greedy ass cop to start doing bull**** like this so he can fill his hunger for handing out some tickets.

    I don't think the cops themselves do it, but i wouldn't be surprised if it happened on higher levels of local government in an attempt to raise additional funds for the city.
