Mo: Play some f**king D and get some boards!

Cato: Learn to shoot some wide open 12 footers!

IF Spoon were 3 inches taller, he could be our answer at 4.

    True...Spoon is a good veteran player....solid.

Way better to have him than Mooch.

This is TOO MUCH to ask from Cato.

He's a PF. Before we go into 12ft jumper, he needs to learn power post up play without throwing the ball to the board for a lucky spin. He does that all the time. He's only so far effectitve in dunking the ball.

Why is it too much to ask for Cato? He's come THIS far. Adding at least ONE shot to his arsenal seems possible to me.

The point is, why would you force a guy to learn to shoot from 12ft distance when he can't do it closer...

Cato is cancer on this team now. I hate to see him try to post, everyone on the court knows he is not gonna hit it. I've noticed that these past 2 games, once cato made 2 or 3 consecutive attempts, he would be replaced by another player immediately. Yao and steve should be the one taking consecutive attempts, Cato will the last one on my list.

Yeah, Cato shouldnt post up at all. Bad bad. As matter of fact, he shouldnt even be on the strong side. ;)

Also, I would like to see more put-backs by him. Man, Eddie sure could put back!

What everyone sees out of Spoon is what he's been doing his entire career. Early on , he was like a Baby Barkley type, whom he was traded for. 18ppg, 9-10 rebs high fg%, but somewhere between drafting shawn Bradley and Sharone Wright, they wanted him to play the 3, which he's not. In his day, he was a very good player, not a all star, but solid on rebs and scoring with those long arms and good hops. Now he gives the Rockets the luxury of what I've been saying anyway. Next season, leave Taylor unprotected, try to package Cato with someone and go get a pf. Spoon can be your 1st big man off the bench. He's not a shot blocker and is a bit undersized, but he's always been a good rebounder and good scorer, period. Most thought he was a washed up player just to get rid of Moochie, but he's a solid veteran like both Jacksons.

Cato should not take a shot while the ball is 5 inches away from the basket. Too risky.

I dont think is from Cato playing poorly but more due to Spoon playing really well.

well Cato got ill right after that Wizards game where he dominated Washington. Since then he hasn't done much.

i think he would be more effective off the bench to spell Yao. I hate it when Jeff uses Mo at center with Spoon as the PF. While quick, it's way too small.

I believe it is a combination of both.

I love players who know their roles. You will never see Bo Outlaw or Ben Wallace take jum shots - hard ever. But Cato takes them like he could actually make make them. I consider his jump shots a turnover for our team - yes it is that bad. Another bad aspect of Cato's game is his passing - he is a zero in that department.

In defense of Cato, sometimes he has no choice but to take that shot to at least try and keep his man honest (from zoning down on Yao).

Its not like hes taking more than 1 or 2 a game. :)
