Edwardo Najera. I believe he's shooting something like 64% from the field this year.

Yeah but I bet by the end of the year he won't have enough attempts to qualify cuz he doesnt get a lotta PT. Like, I think you can shoot 2-2 from 3s right now and be leading the elague in percentage- but it wont last long.

That will drop down dramatically by the end of the season.

I agree it won't last but it's not like he only takes 1 shot a game, in only 5 minutes a game. He's averaging close to 20 minutes a game, and close to 10 points per game. He's also extended his range to about 18 feet.

He's only taking about 5 to 6 shots per game.

Both Popeye Jones and Lafrentz are injured which probably has led to more minutes for Najera.

Najera averaged about 22 minutes a game last year. I dont see why everyone is so shocked about his minutes this year.

He's better except when it comes to FG%, rebounds, and that little thing called defense.

Najera seems to be turning himself into a Malik Rose type of player. He even had a one handed reverse dunk the other night against the Pistons. It wasn't as pretty as Vince Carter's (no where near as pretty actually) but at least he tried.

Steve's FG % is 52% and people on this board diss him, while Najera gets posts praising him. :D

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it I just thought it was interesting that a player of Najera's caliber (bench player) is leading the entire NBA in FG%.

Maybe I'm missing something, but does anybody know why Adrian Griffin starts over Eduardo Najera?

It depends on the matchups. Some nights Griffin is better suited to guard whoever starts for the other team, and some nights Najera gives Dallas the better matchup. Other than Dirk, Nash, and Finley to lineup changes on a nightly basis.
