after tonight's game, i was left in a conundrum of sorts. if the Heat are really the best the East has to offer, and the Cavs/Bulls/Pistons/Nets are supposedly the next tier down, then the Rockets just need to get past the Spurs or Suns/Mavs (maybe the Jazz) and one playoff fodder team to win it all.

I think the Bulls could give us some problems particularly in the perimeter. They have quick guard play and their perimeter defense is one of the leagues best. But I don't know about a 7 game series.

There is no way in heck that the Miami Heat can match up with the Mavs.

    Oh. Right.

well it's a tall order to get passed the spurs, mavs, suns, maybe the jazz, clippers, bulls, pistons, etc...

these teams don't just roll down and let you take the win.

however, with tmac and bonzi in mid-season form we should be a very good team.

I just don't know if the Bulls can score enough against us. We have an elite defense and two dynamic offensive players.

but the thing is, assuming the Rockets finish in the top 4 in the West (instead of pulling a '95 with a 6 seed), they only have to play 2 out of the Spurs/Mavs/Suns (maybe Jazz). the first round (always so hard for T-Mac but still...) will probably be against Nuggets/Hornets/Lakers (maybe Jazz). and the Finals will be against only 1 out of the Heat/Bulls/Cavs/Pistons (none of which concern me).
