Separate to the grill I already have .. http://www.target.com/p/aroma-digit...4411#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=portable+burner Getting one of these for an outdoors trip --- are the digital ones as good as the open end butane ones? Which one burns longer, which one does a better job at cooking up a hearty stew?
you need a "camping" stove for an outdoor "trip", 'eh. for your hearty stews so you really do live in a van down by the river.
ive had mine for almost 20 years. i paid like $20 for it at the time, but this one looks a little nicer. works great, fuel is cheap and lasts a long time and the stove is durable. http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-20000...qid=1418744901&sr=8-9&keywords=coleman+stoves i have this one for back-country camping. much lighter and more portable. probably not what you are looking for though. http://www.rei.com/product/830340/msr-microrocket-stove
I have a single burner and if that's not enough I make a fire with wood. Single burner cost me $20 and I've used it for years.
Get a butane one. Don't have to worry about anything getting soaked. The one I have is older than me.
