I am going on a vacation this coming September and I would like to have a camcorder to take with me. It'll be my second time out and the 1st time I didnt get a lot of memories to take home...

I basically have no idea what to look for, but I'd like to keep it at or under $300, cheaper if possible, since there are other expenses I have to worry about. I know I could do some research on my own, and I will a little, but I'd also like to get some opinions and suggestions that might help me streamline my search.

Best brand? Best deal? or Anything I should know going in?
I was thinking of going to Frys...
    Thanks in advance.

Walmart has a great deal on the ZR900:

The ZR series has been around awhile. I still own a ZR10 and it works great. I like shooting on dv tape because it's easier to save.

If you'd rather shoot on an SD card Circuit City has this deal:

I found both of these deals on the GottaDeal.com site.
