This is a trade I'm considering in a Yahoo league I'm in. I won't tell you what side I'm on, but I'm interested in hearing your opinions. This is a head to head category league. Categories are FGM, FG%, FTM, FT%, 3PTM, Pts, Reb, As, St, Bl, A/T. Thanks in advance.
Can you post the rest of your team? Without knowing what the rest of your team looks like I'd have to go with Marion /Camby. If Smith weren't going to be out for the next month or so, I might be inclined to go the other way.
Here's the rest of my team. I'm definitely covered as far as position balance goes. If anything, I'm center heavy, which is a little weird. G Sebastian Telfair G Russell Westbrook G Earl Watson F Ron Artest F/C Jason Maxiell C Yao Ming C Marc Gasol G Jason Terry G Delonte West F/C Brook Lopez G/F Keith Bogans G Gilbert Arenas By the way... this is a 16 team 14 player league with daily roster changes and no IR. (like... Arenas is just sitting on my bench right now... wasting space...)
I'd go Camby/Marion. Josh Smith can bring you down in so many categories. Camby and Marion are both solid contributors most every game.
Ok... so my team is the team with Josh Smith/Turkgolu. The main reason I'm hesitating is that I'm already pretty dominant in blocks and rebounds, and I lost 3 or 4 scoring categories last week. It seems like this trade will definitely hurt me in scoring because Camby barely scores, and Marion has yet to establish himself in Miami. Granted Turkgolu is unlikely to return to his scoring numbers last season, and Josh Smith is injured for a while... but more than anything it doesn't seem like this trade helps my team, even if I can see the argument that Camby/Marion are the better players. I'm almost tempted to make the trade, and then start working the phones for a followup trade.
Good thinking. If you can get a pretty solid commitment for a follow-up trade to net you some scoring I would do it. Otherwise, stick with your team. Marion is a disappointment and Camby is blocks and rebounds only.
