Cam Whitmore putting in work

lol. I was just coming in here to post that. I tend to agree. It's a freebie first-round pick for the Rockets. Whether or not he's better than a Sarr, Holland, Buzelis, etc. remains to be seen, but he's basically a "free" lottery pick for sure, and I'd probably take him ahead of most of next year's lottery hopefuls for sure. Keep hope alive!

 

I wonder if Cam would be ok with that, honestly, if he keeps up the efficiency at the Gleague would like to see him get some bench minutes at the big club.....

I love how the org has sent a coach down to the valley with him with an agenda for him to work from - that ....is good development.

On his recent appearance on the BS pod, Doc Rivers was saying that most teams really do barely practice during the season cause there's just not enough time. If that's the case, then I'd rather have Cam grinding down in the valley rather than wasting away on the bench at least until an injury clears up some minutes for him.

 

I took that oin with a Grain of salt because of Doc. I bet that’s the case for teams he coaches but I doubt that’s the case for most coaches. I don’t think that’s the case for Spo, Pops, One , Mike Brown, , the coach in OKC, etc pretty much all the better coaches in the league

 

Let’s see what this young man can do. Give him a few minutes here and there. Jalen Green losing the fans fast.

 

Every day I pray Cam develops into a consistent scorer who can play solid defense at the NBA level but he's still so young, can't expect too much from him.

 

Jalen may come around, but it seems clear that Cam is a much better shooter. I keep trying to remember the name of a All Star shooting guard with Cam's bulk and height who played for the Bucks iirc among other teams about 15 years ago.

I dont remember him being as thick as cam.

 

I hope we get some Cam minutes tonight. He was pretty good in G-league but tbf a lot of scrubs put up big numbers there

 

A high lift long duration Cam might be just what this team needs

 

I don’t remember how “thick” he was. I do know he was quite long and knew how to work it though.

Hope that they're practicing that give and go with Cam/Sengun in practice. If there's one thing Cam does that Jalen and Jabari currently do not....is not overthink.

 

I think I was remembering Mitch Richmond. 6'5". 215 lbs

 

May be time to give him some real burn now that the losing streak continues. Can’t be worse than the useless Bullock.

Unfortunately yes. Defensive assignments and rotations are a huge part of the game and with Cam replacing Jalen we're not even in games. He's a year away from playing 15 minutes a game on this team wanting to win.

 

I agree with this. Cam won’t get much time this year unless we fall out of any chance at the play-in.
